HoR election: 3,851 temporary police to be recruited in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: A total of 3,851 election police personnel will be recruited in Rautahat district for the March 5 House of Representatives (HoR) elections. The District Police Office has been accepting applications since last Friday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bishnu Pradip Basyal, 952 applicants, including 152 women, submitted applications as of Sunday.

DSP Basyal said that of the total, 3,466 election police personnel will be recruited under the Nepal Police, while 385 will be deployed from the Nepal Armed Police Force.

The final list of selected candidates is scheduled to be published on January 26. The recruited election police personnel will be provided service benefits for a total period of 40 days from the date of appointment.
