Budhigandaki flood: Bridges destroyed, four people missing



GORKHA: A devastating flood triggered by the Ungilung River, which flows through Chumanubri-6 in the Budhigandaki region, has destroyed the Machhikhola Bridge, a vital link to Dharche Rural Municipality.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma, Machhikhola Bazaar has suffered significant damage from the flooding. The floodwaters have also destroyed infrastructure connecting Soti and Manbu in Arughat.

Four livestock shelters along the banks of the Ungilung River, along with 15 yaks and four people responsible for their care, remain unaccounted for, with communication lost.
