KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in various parts of the country this afternoon and tonight.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the Division this morning, the weather is currently generally cloudy across the country. Light rainfall is occurring at a few places in Gandaki Province and at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Moderate to heavy rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the mountainous regions. Similar rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at many places in the hilly regions and at some places in the Terai.
Strong winds are also possible at a few places in the Terai areas of Madhesh Province and in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Heavy rainfall is likely at some places in the Himalayan, hilly, and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as at one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country. Moderate to heavy rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at some places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and at a few places in the Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is also likely at some places in the hilly regions.
