NC provincial gathering begins today in Surkhet



SURKHET: The Province-level gathering of the Nepali Congress (NC), focused on strengthening coordination at the state and local levels, is beginning today in Surkhet.

The meeting will be inaugurated at noon by party President Gagan Thapa at Shubha Hotel in Birendranagar.

Party Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma and General Secretary Pradeep Poudel have already arrived in Surkhet to participate in the two-day event. According to Thapa’s secretariat, the meeting will discuss the party’s future strategy, involving the provincial working committee, district office bearers, and representatives from local levels.

The Nepali Congress is organizing similar provincial gatherings across all seven provinces to strengthen its organizational structure. The first such programme was completed in Dhangadhi, Sudurpaschim Province, on May 9 and 10.

Likewise the party is organizing provincial gatherings in Gandaki Province (Pokhara) on May 14 and 15, Bagmati Province (Dhulikhel) on May 18 and 19, Madhesh Province (Bardibas): May 20 and 21, Koshi Province (Sunsari): May 22 and 23, Lumbini Province (Tilottama): May 28 and 29.
