Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 144.63, while the selling rate stands at Rs 145.23.

The buying and selling rates for major currencies are as follows: one euro at Rs 172.16 and Rs 172.87 respectively; one UK pound sterling at Rs 197.56 and Rs 198.38; and one Swiss franc at Rs 188.71 and Rs 189.50.

Similarly, the buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 102.30 and the selling rate Rs 102.72; one Canadian dollar Rs 106.62 and Rs 107.06; and one Singapore dollar Rs 114.23 and Rs 114.71.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.32 and the selling rate at Rs 9.35. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 20.93 and sold at Rs 21.01. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 38.56 (buying) and Rs 38.72 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 39.57 and Rs 39.73 respectively.

According to NRB, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.64 and sold at Rs 4.66; one UAE dirham at Rs 39.38 and Rs 39.54; one Malaysian ringgit at Rs 36.86 and Rs 37.02; 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.90 and Rs 9.94; one Swedish krona at Rs 16.20 and Rs 16.27; and one Danish krone at Rs 23.04 and Rs 23.14.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 18.50 and the selling rate at Rs 18.58. Likewise, one Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 473.96 (buying) and Rs 475.93 (selling), one Bahraini dinar at Rs 383.64 and Rs 385.23, and one Omani rial at Rs 375.69 and Rs 377.25. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

NRB has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. The rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
