Nepal, Australia reaffirm ties during Foreign Minister Khanal’s visit



KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal paid a courtesy call on Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, at Government House in Canberra.

During the meeting, the Governor-General expressed condolences over the loss of lives caused by the recent Bhotekoshi floods and reaffirmed Australia’s solidarity with Nepal. Minister Khanal thanked Australia for its condolences, solidarity and continued support.

The meeting also reaffirmed the longstanding and cordial relations between Nepal and Australia, which are founded on mutual respect, shared democratic values and strong people-to-people ties.
