NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today (Friday).

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.33, while the selling rate stands at Rs 152.93.

The buying rate for one euro is Rs 174.09 and the selling rate is Rs 174.78. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 204.22 and sold at Rs 205.02, while one Swiss franc is being bought at Rs 188.77 and sold at Rs 189.52.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 105.69 and the selling rate is Rs 106.10. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 107.43 and sold at Rs 107.85, while one Singapore dollar is being bought at Rs 117.82 and sold at Rs 118.28.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.38, with the selling rate at Rs 9.42. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 22.42 and sold at Rs 22.51. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 40.57 and Rs 40.73, while one Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 41.79 and sold at Rs 41.95.

According to NRB, the buying and selling rates for one Thai baht are Rs 4.56 and Rs 4.57, respectively. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 41.48 and sold at Rs 41.64. The buying and selling rates for one Malaysian ringgit are Rs 37.36 and Rs 37.51, while 100 South Korean won are being bought at Rs 10.07 and sold at Rs 10.11. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.73 and sold at Rs 15.79, while one Danish krone is being bought at Rs 23.29 and sold at Rs 23.38.

The buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar are Rs 19.44 and Rs 19.51, respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 494.98 and sold at Rs 496.93. Likewise, one Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 404.00 and sold at Rs 405.59, while one Omani rial is being bought at Rs 395.64 and sold at Rs 397.20.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees remains unchanged, with both the buying and selling rates fixed at Rs 160.00.

NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the official rates, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
