KATHMANDU: Traffic police have written to the Transport Office recommending the suspension of driving licences of 31 motorists for repeated traffic violations.
According to traffic authorities, the recommendation was made against drivers who were found violating the same traffic rules multiple times.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Chief SSP Nawaraj Adhikari said the licences of drivers prosecuted more than five times for the same offence have been forwarded for suspension action.
He also informed that CCTV cameras have now been made mandatory in public transport vehicles.
