KATHMANDU: Stakeholders have emphasized the need for improved traffic management in the Kathmandu Valley during a discussion organized by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office today.
The discussion, hosted by House of Representatives member Ashish Gajurel, focused on the challenges and possible solutions related to traffic management in the Valley.
On the occasion, MP Gajurel stressed the need for the use of technology, as well as adequate manpower and equipment, to improve traffic management, noting that traffic police are carrying out significant responsibilities despite limited resources.
International development expert and mechanical engineer Ram Chandra Thapa shared insights on technical aspects of road infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure development and long-term planning.
Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Nawaraj Adhikari, said that traffic police personnel deployed on the roads continue to perform their duties while facing various risks.
