UML will rise again despite humiliating defeat, says Bishnu Rimal

KATHMANDU: Bishnu Rimal, a leader of the CPN-UML party, has said the party will rise again with determination despite its poor performance in the recent elections.

Rimal, who is considered close to party chair KP Sharma Oli, made the remarks after the UML secured only nine seats in the election held on March 5.

Congratulating the party’s victorious lawmakers, Rimal said the election should not be viewed as the final outcome.

“This election is not the end. The result of Sankhuwasabha district is only the final result of this particular election,” he wrote.

He added that defeat in one battle should not be seen as losing the entire war.

“Defeat in one battle does not mean defeat in the entire war. UML will once again rise with determination, shaking off the dust,” Rimal said.

Rimal also said the success achieved by UML candidates despite various challenges remains a matter of pride. He congratulated all newly elected members of the House of Representatives representing the party and wished them a successful tenure.
