Earthquake jolts Taplejung



KATHMANDU: An earthquake was felt in the Kanchenjunga area of Taplejung early this (Tuesday) morning. According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, the quake measured 4.0 magnitude and occurred at 2:47 am.

The epicenter was located near the Nepal-India border, the center said. Tremors were also felt in several parts of eastern Nepal. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
