Teenager goes missing after being swept away by river



BAJURA: A teenager has gone missing after being swept away by a river in Bajura.

Anuj Singh of Jagannath Rural Municipality-3, went missing after being swept away while crossing the Kalsinge River on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Gagan Singh Bhat, information officer at the District Police Office, Bajura, Singh had gone to graze goats when he was swept away while attempting to cross the river in the area. A local resident, Khadak Bhandari, informed the Juddi Police Post about the incident.

A three-member police team led by Police Assistant Inspector Ramesh Bahadur Rawal has been deployed to search for the missing teenager. Seven personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Gulma Bajura Disaster Rescue and Security Base, Kolti, are also involved in the search operation. The search for Singh is continuing.
