Gold price drops by Rs 2,400 per tola



KATHMANDU: Gold prices fell sharply in the Nepali market on Thursday, with the price of the yellow metal dropping by Rs 2,400 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 284,700 per tola, down from Rs 287,100 per tola on Wednesday.

Silver prices also declined, falling by Rs 160 per tola to Rs 4,340. Silver had closed at Rs 4,500 per tola on Wednesday.

In the international market, gold was trading at around USD 4,075 per ounce, while silver was priced at USD 57 per ounce, according to international media reports.
