PM Shah to hold talks with contractors on construction sector challenges



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to hold talks with representatives of the construction sector today to discuss challenges facing the industry, possible solutions and policy measures to improve the business environment.

The meeting, scheduled for 11:30 am at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, will be attended by Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs’ Federation President Nicholas Pandey, Senior Vice-President Mukesh Pant, General Secretary Shivahari Ghimire, Bagmati Province Vice-President Balkrishna Thapa, and former federation president and adviser Jayaram Lamichhane.

According to the Prime Minister’s Press and Research Adviser Deepa Dahal, the discussion will focus on strengthening cooperation between the government and construction entrepreneurs, addressing practical challenges faced by contractors and exploring policy reforms to facilitate the sector.
