Nepal welcomes US-Iran ceasefire agreement



KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a press release, described the two-week ceasefire as a positive step toward easing tensions in West Asia, creating space for dialogue, diplomacy, and the peaceful resolution of differences.

The government emphasized that the ceasefire represents a constructive initiative for promoting regional peace and stability and highlighted the importance of safeguarding the humanitarian well-being of civilians affected by the conflict.

It also expressed support for international efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace and stability both regionally and globally.
