Gold price rises again



KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the domestic market continued its upward trend on Monday, rising for the second consecutive day.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold price increased by Rs 4,100 per tola on Monday. With the latest rise, gold is being traded at Rs 304,600 per tola.

On Sunday, the price of gold had surged sharply by Rs 9,500 per tola, reaching Rs 300,500 per tola. Earlier, gold was traded at Rs 291,000 per tola on Friday, while the price stood at Rs 295,200 per tola on Thursday.

Silver prices also recorded an increase on Monday. The price of silver rose by Rs 240 per tola to reach Rs 5,250 per tola.

On Sunday, silver was traded at Rs 5,010 per tola.
