NC convention representatives urge leadership to unite through special general convention ahead of elections

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) general convention representatives have urged the party leadership to move forward united through a special general convention ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Issuing a public appeal, the representatives said the call was made with a focus on the parliamentary election scheduled for March 5.

In the appeal, they stressed the need to present the Nepali Congress as a more credible and trustworthy party before the people by entering the election with an agenda of change and transformation, backed by new thinking and vision.

In the same context, the convention representatives have already registered a written application demanding the convening of a special general convention, according to the appeal.

They argued that internal unity and organizational renewal through a special general convention are essential to strengthen the party and ensure an effective electoral campaign in the forthcoming polls.
