Landslides are common in Nepal during monsoon/File photo
BAITADI: The Mahakali Highway has been blocked by a landslide at Bitkam in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-5 of Baitadi district.
The highway was obstructed after rocks and debris fell onto the road from above the road section this morning, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Raya, chief of the District Police Office, Baitadi.
Police said efforts are underway to clear the debris using JCB excavators. The obstruction has disrupted transportation along the highway.
