Govt removes 15 honorary consuls and consuls general abroad



KATHMANDU: The government led by Prime Minister Balen Shah has decided to remove 15 honorary consuls general and honorary consuls stationed abroad.

Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said the decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday morning.

According to Pokharel, the decision was made on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to dismiss 15 honorary diplomatic representatives serving in different countries.

The Cabinet meeting also decided to request President Ram Chandra Paudel to address the joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament scheduled for 4 pm on May 11.
