Results of 132 constituencies announced: RSP wins 104 seats



KATHMANDU: Results from 132 constituencies have been announced so far in the ongoing vote count for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured the largest number of seats, winning 104 constituencies. As of 10:50 am today, RSP candidates are also leading in 21 additional constituencies.

According to the Election Commission Nepal, the Nepali Congress has won 14 constituencies so far and is leading in three others. The CPN-UML has won seven seats and is leading in three constituencies.

Similarly, the Nepali Communist Party has secured four seats and is currently leading in three constituencies.

The Shram Sanskriti Party Nepal has won one seat and is leading in two constituencies. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party and an independent candidate have each won one seat.

Proportional representation

Meanwhile, vote counting under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives elections held on March 5 has reached 2,761,421 ballots.

According to the Election Commission, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has received 1,388,421 votes, followed by the Nepali Congress with 471,355 votes, the CPN-UML with 380,932 votes, and the Nepali Communist Party with 182,834 votes.
