GULMI: Rishiram Bhandari of Dhurkot Rural Municipality-5 has died of electrocution after coming into contact with a fallen power line near his farm in Simalchaur.
According to the District Police Office, Bhandari left his home on Tuesday afternoon to water his fields in Simalchaur and Chaptari. When he did not return home by evening, his relatives and neighbours began searching for him.
During the search, he was found dead near his farm on Wednesday morning after apparently coming into contact with the fallen electric wire, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Bir Bishwakarma.
Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
