KATHMANDU: The closed session of the Nepali Congress’s (NC) 15th General Convention is set to conclude today, the fourth day of the convention.
During today’s session, general convention representatives are scheduled to endorse several key reports and proposals, including the political proposal on national renaissance and progress presented by party President Gagan Thapa; the contemporary proposal, “Decline of Political Culture and the Responsibility for Transformation with the Times,” presented by Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma; the organizational report presented by General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire; and the financial report presented by Treasurer Umesh Shrestha.
Dr. Suresh Acharya, a member of the Information, Communication and Technology Committee, said the general convention representatives have been discussing the reports since last Monday. Representatives of additional sister and well-wisher organizations from all seven provinces have also participated in the discussions.
Acharya said the closed session is scheduled to resume at 10:30 a.m. today. Party President Thapa is scheduled to address the session at the outset.
