Sudurpaschim likely to receive rain for three more days

SUDURPASCHIM: Rainfall is continuing in various parts of Sudurpaschim Province, including Kailali, and is expected to persist for the next three days, according to the Office of Hydrology and Meteorology in Attariya.

The weather is forecast to remain generally cloudy across the mountains, hills and Terai from today through September 9, with moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in several areas during the period.

The Meteorological Office has forecast heavy rainfall in some parts of the hills and Terai and urged residents to remain alert to possible weather-related risks.

Light rain is expected in the mountainous areas this afternoon and tonight, while moderate rainfall is likely in several parts of the hills and Terai. Heavy rain is also possible at one or two locations in the hills and Terai.

Although rainfall is expected to ease on Tuesday, weather conditions are unlikely to clear completely. Several areas of the mountains and hills, along with some parts of the Terai, may continue to receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning.

On Tuesday night, moderate rainfall is likely at a few locations across the mountains, hills and Terai.
