Floods, landslides disrupt key highways nationwide

KATHMANDU: Transportation remains affected across several parts of the country, as flood and landslide damage has kept major highways in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other districts blocked.

The Prithvi Highway and other major road sections in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading have remained closed since August 26 following flooding in the Bhotekoshi River.

Similarly, the Mugu-Gamgadhi road in Mugu, the Shaheed Highway in Rolpa, the Karnali Highway sections in Kalikot and Surkhet, and the Rapti Highway in Salyan remain completely blocked today due to landslides and flood-related damage.
