Four bills set to be tabled in HoR meeting today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is taking place today.

Four bills are likely to be presented during the meeting scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm on Friday at Singha Durbar. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the agenda includes the presentation of the “Report of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee on the Bill to Revive the Previous Provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042” by committee chair Hari Dhakal.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam is scheduled to present the “Remuneration, Conditions of Service and Facilities of Officials of Constitutional Bodies (First Amendment) Bill, 2083” on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari is also set to present the “Mines and Minerals Bill, 2083,” while Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi will present the “Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) First Amendment Bill, 2083.”

In addition, Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal is likely to present the “Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2083,” according to Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey.
