Public Accounts, Education and International Relations Committees meet today



KATHMANDU: Three committees under Nepal’s House of Representatives are scheduled to hold meetings today.

The Public Accounts Committee will meet at 9:00 AM in Singha Durbar. The agenda includes approving the committee’s internal procedures and discussing the formation of a subcommittee to review outstanding audit irregularities.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will also convene at 9:00 AM in Singha Durbar. The meeting will focus on discussions regarding the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.

The committee has invited the Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, the ministry’s secretary, the secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Executive Director of the National Forensic Science Laboratory to participate in the discussion.

Similarly, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will meet at 9:30 AM. The committee is scheduled to receive briefings on the Foreign Minister’s recent visits to India and China, along with updates on other current foreign affairs issues. The Foreign Minister and the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been invited to attend the meeting.
