NRB publishes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Tuesday, with the US dollar, euro and British pound sterling posting modest gains against the Nepali rupee.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 152.34 and the selling rate at Rs 152.94. The buying rate for one euro stands at Rs 173.84, with the selling rate at Rs 174.53. Likewise, one British pound sterling is being bought at Rs 203.11 and sold at Rs 203.91.

Among Gulf currencies, the buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at Rs 40.56 and the selling rate at Rs 40.72. Similarly, one Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 41.79 and sold at Rs 41.95. The buying and selling rates for one Malaysian ringgit have been fixed at Rs 37.29 and Rs 37.44, respectively.

The exchange rate for Indian currency remains unchanged, with the buying rate for INR 100 fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

NRB said the published rates serve as a reference for commercial banks and may be revised at any time. Exchange rates offered by individual banks may vary slightly from the central bank’s reference rates.
