Three arrested in Kirtipur murder case



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of a young man in Kirtipur.

According to the Kathmandu District Police Range, 22-year-old Bipin Ghimire was attacked with a sharp weapon and killed near Chiya Sagar in Podetol, Kirtipur Municipality-10, at around 2:20 pm on Baisakh 23.

Ghimire was originally from Dhurkot Rural Municipality-7 of Gulmi and had been residing in Dhalpa, Kirtipur-3.

A police team from Kirtipur Police Circle arrested Mahendra Shah, 25, originally from Sanfebagar Municipality-4 of Achham and currently residing in Bhajangal, Kirtipur-9; Rabindra Dhami, 23, originally from Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-4 of Kailali and currently living in Panga Dobato, Kirtipur-10; and Roshan Bista, 22, originally from Ghodaghodi Municipality-1 of Kailali and currently residing in Cinema Hall area, Kirtipur-8.

Police said an investigation is underway after obtaining a seven-day remand extension from the Kathmandu District Court under charges related to homicide.
