KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two people in separate drug-related cases in Banke and Tanahun districts.
According to the Central Police Newsroom, a police patrol team arrested 34-year-old Altab Kingariya of Lalapur, Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-13, Banke, with heroin on Wednesday afternoon.
In a separate incident, police arrested 29-year-old Purna Bahadur Thapa of Uttarshila, Byas Municipality-2, Tanahun, with marijuana. A team from the District Police Office, Tanahun, recovered about one kilogram of marijuana during a search of his house.
