KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Youth and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has said that the government will support the construction of the Fapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.
Arriving in Dhangadhi on Tuesday morning, Minister Pokharel made the remarks during an inspection of the Fapla Cricket Ground, stating that there is a strong cricket craze in Sudurpashchim Province.
“Previous governments had also given priority to Fapla,” he said, adding, “The government will move forward by giving importance to its construction.”
Minister Pokharel had arrived to attend a program at the Shahid Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University in Geta, Kailali District.
According to his personal secretary Arju Lohani, the minister is also scheduled to inspect the Sudurpashchim University in Mahendranagar and the under-construction dry port at Dodhara Chandani later today.
