NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign currency exchange rates for today. The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 148.60, while the selling rate stands at Rs 149.20.

The buying rate of one euro is Rs 171.53 and the selling rate is Rs 172.22. Similarly, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling is Rs 196.68 and the selling rate is Rs 197.47, while the Swiss franc is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 186.11 and a selling rate of Rs 186.86.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 102.91 and a selling rate of Rs 103.32. The Canadian dollar is valued at Rs 106.76 for buying and Rs 107.19 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 115.68 for buying and Rs 116.15 for selling.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.31 and the selling rate is Rs 9.35. The Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 21.59 and a selling rate of Rs 21.68.

Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 39.58 for buying and Rs 39.74 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.75 for buying and Rs 40.91 for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is being exchanged at Rs 4.57 (buying) and Rs 4.59 (selling). The UAE dirham stands at Rs 40.46 for buying and Rs 40.62 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 36.90 for buying and Rs 37.05 for selling.

Similarly, 100 South Korean won is valued at Rs 9.88 for buying and Rs 9.92 for selling. The Swedish kronor is set at Rs 15.78 (buying) and Rs 15.84 (selling), and the Danish kronor at Rs 22.95 (buying) and Rs 23.05 (selling).

The central bank has also set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.96 and the selling rate at Rs 19.04. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 484.12 for buying and Rs 486.70 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 394.16 (buying) and Rs 395.76 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 385.97 (buying) and Rs 387.53 (selling).

Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
