Kshitij Thebe of CPN-UML wins Taplejung seat



KATHMANDU: Kshitij Thebe of the CPN-UML has won the House of Representatives election from Taplejung District, securing 13,962 votes.

He defeated Gajendra Prasad Tumyang Limbu of the Nepali Congress to claim a decisive victory.

Other candidates in the constituency included Khel Prasad Budhaksetri of the Nepali Communist Party, who received 6,775 votes; Santosh Rai of the Labour Culture Party, who secured 5,209 votes; and Birendra Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, who received 4,155 votes.

In the previous election, Yogesh Bhattarai of CPN-UML had also won the Taplejung seat. This year’s results further demonstrate the party’s strong influence in the constituency.
