RSP’s Nisha Dangi wins Jhapa-1



JHAPA: Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Nisha Dangi has won the House of Representatives election from Jhapa 1.

Dangi secured 45,680 votes in the constituency, which was won by Bishwa Prakash Sharma of the Nepali Congress in the previous election. This time, Nepali Congress candidate Keshav Raj Pandey received only 10,550 votes. Sharma had won the seat in the last election with 39,624 votes.

Meanwhile, Kevalram Rai of the Labour Culture Party came third with 10,004 votes, while Ram Chandra Upreti of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) finished fourth with 7,659 votes.
