RSP’s Balen Shah receives victory certificate after landslide win in Jhapa-5
Balen Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has received his victory certificate after securing a historic win in Jhapa-5, marking a major shift in Nepal’s parliamentary politics. According to the final results published by the Election Commission Nepal, Shah secured 68,348 votes. His closest rival, KP Sharma Oli—chair of the CPN-UML and a former prime minister—received only 18,734 votes. Shah won the constituency by a massive margin of 49,614 votes in Jhapa-5, long considered a stronghold of the UML where Oli had remained undefeated for years.
Toshima Karki wins Lalitpur-3 seat for RSP
Toshima Karki of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected to the House of Representatives from Lalitpur-3, securing 43,096 votes. Her closest rival, Jitendra Kumar Shrestha of the Nepali Congress, received 9,045 votes, while Rajkaji Maharjan of the Nepali Communist Party garnered 6,022 votes. Speaking to journalists after her victory, Karki said the outcome represents a victory for people across the country. She stated that the RSP has not only won the election but also taken on the responsibility of the nation.

Her closest competitors were Renu Dahal of the Nepali Communist Party with 20,615 votes, Tek Prasad Gurung of the Nepali Congress with 8,344 votes, and Shankar Raj Thapaliya of the UML with 5,004 votes. Deepak Thapamagar of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 1,226 votes.
RSP’s Rajiv Khatri defeats Mahesh Basnet in Bhaktapur-2
Rajiv Khatri of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected from Bhaktapur-2 in the House of Representatives election in Nepal. Khatri secured 31,338 votes, defeating Mahesh Basnet of the CPN-UML party, who received 10,996 votes. Kabir Rana of the Nepali Congress finished third with 8,401 votes.
Hari Dhakal wins Chitwan-1 by huge margin
Hari Dhakal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has won the House of Representatives seat from Chitwan 1, securing 58,208 votes. Dhakal defeated his closest rival Rajendra Prasad Burlakoti of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 45,175 votes. Burlakoti received 13,033 votes.
RSP’s Nisha Dangi wins Jhapa-1
Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Nisha Dangi has won the House of Representatives election from Jhapa 1. Dangi secured 45,680 votes in the constituency, which was won by Bishwa Prakash Sharma of the Nepali Congress in the previous election. This time, Nepali Congress candidate Keshav Raj Pandey received only 10,550 votes. Sharma had won the seat in the last election with 39,624 votes.
Most UML office bearers face defeat in House election
Many senior leaders of the CPN-UML party are facing defeat in the ongoing House of Representatives election in Nepal, according to the latest vote counts. Party chair KP Sharma Oli is trailing far behind Balen Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Jhapa-5. Oli has secured 11,427 votes, while Shah has received 42,543 votes so far. In Rupandehi-2, UML vice-chair Bishnu Prasad Paudel suffered a heavy defeat to RSP candidate Sulabh Kharel by more than 43,000 votes.
RSP sweeps all 10 constituencies in Kathmandu
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has secured a clean sweep in all 10 constituencies of Kathmandu in the House of Representatives election in Nepal, marking a historic result in the capital. The winning RSP candidates are Ranju Darshana Neupane in Kathmandu-1, Sunil KC in Kathmandu-2, Rajunath Pandey in Kathmandu-3, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4, Sasmit Pokharel in Kathmandu-5, Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha in Kathmandu-8, Dol Prasad Aryal in Kathmandu-9, and Pradip Bista in Kathmandu-10.
