Buddha Ratna Maharjan’s victory confirmed as RSP wins Lalitpur-1



KATHMANDU: Buddha Ratna Maharjan of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has emerged victorious in Lalitpur-1, securing 23,373 votes in Saturday’s counting.

His closest rival, Udaya Shamsher Rana of the Nepali Congress, received 13,520 votes. A total of 52,632 votes were cast in the constituency.

After his win, Maharjan pledged to implement the plans he had proposed during his campaign and emphasized that he would move forward with respect for the trust the voters placed in him.
