RSP’s Sudan Gurung takes early lead in Gorkha-1



GORKHA: In the House of Representatives election in Nepal for Gorkha-1, Sudan Gurung of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has taken an early lead.

With the first 199 votes counted, Gurung secured 90 votes. His closest competitors were Premkumar Khatri of the Nepali Congress with 47 votes, and Hariraj Adhikari of the Nepal Communist Party with 34 votes.

Ramchandra Lamichhane of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) received 7 votes, according to the election office.
