Swarnim Wagle wins Tanahun-1, defeating Govinda Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: Swarnim Wagle of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected from Tanahun-1 in the House of Representatives election in Nepal.

Wagle secured 38,040 votes, defeating Govinda Bhattarai of the Nepali Congress, who received 16,231 votes. The margin of victory stands at 21,809 votes.

Bhagwati Neupane of the CPN-UML came third with 5,653 votes, while Bidyanath Dhakal of the Nepal Communist Party received 2,352 votes.
