Renu Dahal concedes defeat in Chitwan-3, congratulates Sobita Gautam



KATHMANDU: Renu Dahal of the Nepali Communist Party has conceded defeat in Chitwan-3 in the House of Representatives election in Nepal.

Dahal acknowledged the election results and congratulated Sobita Gautam of the Rastriya Swatantra Party on her victory.

In a statement, Dahal said that although she lost in votes, she believes her work and contributions helped her win the hearts of the people of Chitwan.

She noted that her three-decade political career and nine years as mayor of Bharatpur were dedicated to public service and the development of the region.

Dahal also thanked voters, party leaders, supporters, media professionals, and artists who supported her during the election campaign, and expressed commitment to continue working for the development and prosperity of Chitwan.
