Barshaman Pun leads in Rolpa as vote counting continues



KATHMANDU:  Barshaman Pun of the Nepali Communist Party is currently leading in Rolpa in the ongoing House of Representatives election in Nepal vote count.

According to the latest update after 43,427 ballots were counted, Pun has secured 16,690 votes.

Sudan Kumar Oli of the Nepali Congress has received 8,613 votes, while Balram Thapa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has garnered 6,614 votes.

Meanwhile, Gokul Prasad Gharti of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has secured 5,395 votes, Chudamani Oli of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has received 2,748 votes, and Amar Bahadur Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 701 votes.

Vote counting has been completed in several local units, including Thabang, Runtigadhi, Gangadev, Parivartan, Lungrī, and Sunil Smriti, while counting is still ongoing in Sunachhari Rural Municipality.
