DP Aryal wins by a wide margin in Kathmandu-9



KATHMANDU: Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, founding member and vice-chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has secured a decisive victory in the House of Representatives election from Kathmandu-9.

Aryal received 35,093 votes, defeating his closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Nanumaiya Bastola, who secured 5,460 votes. The results indicate strong support among Kathmandu voters for new political leadership and style.

Aryal has also served as the party’s acting chair. In the 2022 House of Representatives elections, he entered Parliament as a proportional representation member.
