Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 144.76, while the selling rate is Rs 145.36.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for major currencies are as follows: one euro at Rs 170.70 and Rs 171.41, one UK pound sterling at Rs 196.72 and Rs 197.54, and one Swiss franc at Rs 186.09 and Rs 186.86, respectively.

The Australian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 101.01 and a selling rate of Rs 101.43, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 105.78 and Rs 106.22. Likewise, the Singapore dollar’s buying rate is Rs 113.68 and the selling rate is Rs 114.16.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.22 and the selling rate is Rs 9.26. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 20.86 for buying and Rs 20.95 for selling. One Saudi Arabian riyal is being bought at Rs 38.60 and sold at Rs 38.76, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.61 and Rs 39.77, respectively.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.58 and a selling rate of Rs 4.60. The UAE dirham is being traded at Rs 39.41 for buying and Rs 39.58 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 36.67 and Rs 36.82.

The buying rate of 100 Japanese yen is Rs 9.87 and the selling rate is Rs 9.91. Similarly, the Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 15.98 and sold at Rs 16.05, while the Danish krona is fixed at Rs 22.86 for buying and Rs 22.95 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for other currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.52 and Rs 18.60, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 473.69 and Rs 475.65, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 383.97 and Rs 385.56, and the Omani riyal at Rs 376.02 and Rs 377.58.

Likewise, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The central bank also noted that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates are available on its official website.
