NCP finalizes candidates for National Assembly election



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has finalized its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly member election scheduled for January 25. The decision was taken by party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal.

According to Govinda Acharya, personal secretary to coordinator Dahal, the party has selected Khem Raj Sundas, Hem Raj Ghimire and Namita Neupane from Koshi Province. From Madhesh Province, Ramnandan Prasad, Laxman Paudel, Shambhu Paswan and Samikumari Agrawal have been finalized as candidates.

Similarly, Prem Prasad Sapkota and Saroj Kumari Jha have been nominated from Bagmati Province. Kapil Lama has been selected from Gandaki Province, while Durga Bhandari, Brihaspati Adhikari and Sarjan BK have been named from Lumbini Province.

From Karnali Province, Buddhi Prasad Sharma and Anju Mahatara have been finalized, while Tikaram Jaishi and Roji Basnet Sunar will represent Sudurpaschim Province in the National Assembly election.
