Minister Shrestha pledges improvement in forecasting and climate analysis services



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has said that services such as weather forecasting, flood forecasting, and climate analysis will be upgraded.

He made the remarks during an on-site inspection of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology on Wednesday, where he also reviewed the department’s overall operations.

During the visit, Minister Shrestha was briefed on the department’s activities by Director General Dr. Archana Shrestha. He stressed that the department’s recent forecasting efforts have been effective and should be further strengthened and improved.
