Police ‘sweep operation’ in Bhaktapur: 30 more arrested



BHAKTAPUR: Bhaktapur police have arrested 30 more individuals for engaging in activities that disturb public peace and security.

As part of the ongoing ‘Sweep Operation’ campaign, police apprehended people from different areas of Bhaktapur on Sunday night for making noise in groups, consuming drugs, and exhibiting suspicious behavior, said Surya Bahadur Khadka, Chief of the District Police Office, Bhaktapur.

Earlier, on Saturday, the police had arrested 60 individuals for similar offenses and initiated investigations. Authorities have stated that those found not involved in unlawful activities during the inquiry will be released.
