Balen Shah leads vote count in Jhapa-5, Oli trails behind



KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, contesting from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, is leading the vote count in Jhapa Constituency No. 5.

According to the latest tally, Shah has secured 10,190 votes, placing him comfortably ahead in the race.

Trailing behind him is KP Sharma Oli, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), who has received 4,087 votes so far and remains in second place.

Similarly, Ranjit Tamang of the Nepal Communist Party has secured 90 votes.

Vote counting is still underway, and the final result is yet to be announced.
