RSP wave seen nationwide as party leads in multiple constituencies



KATHMANDU: A wave in favor of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has emerged across the country as early vote counts from Thursday’s House of Representatives election in Nepal continue.

According to preliminary results, the RSP’s Ranju Darshana has received 9,078 votes and is leading her nearest rival by nearly 5,000 votes.

In Kathmandu-8, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is ahead by 7,617 votes, while Pradip Bista is leading in Kathmandu-10 with 6,042 votes.

Similarly, Sasmit Pokharel is leading in Kathmandu-5 by 3,700 votes, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4 by 2,529 votes, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7 by 2,833 votes, and Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6 with a lead of 2,238 votes.

Outside the valley, Santosh Rajbanshi is ahead in Morang-4 by 3,885 votes, while Manish Jha is leading in Dhanusha-3 by 3,914 votes.

In Rupandehi-2, Sulabh Kharel is ahead with 4,072 votes. Rabi Lamichhane is leading in Chitwan-2 by 2,025 votes, while Sobita Gautam holds a 925-vote lead in Chitwan-3.

In Kaski, RSP candidates are leading in all three constituencies: Khadak Raj Paudel in Kaski-1 by 1,978 votes, Uttam Prasad Paudel in Kaski-2 by 2,417 votes, and Bina Gurung in Kaski-3 by 2,074 votes.

Elsewhere, Swarnim Wagle is ahead in Tanahun-1 by 1,352 votes, Devraj Pathak in Dang-1 by 1,516 votes, Suresh Kumar Chaudhary in Banke-1 by 2,574 votes, and Khagendra Sunar in Banke-3 by 1,369 votes.

In Lalitpur, Tosima Karki is leading in Lalitpur-3 by 1,748 votes and Jagdish Kharel in Lalitpur-2 by 228 votes.

Meanwhile, Ganesh Paudel is ahead in Rautahat-4 by 443 votes. In Kanchanpur, Dipak Raj Bohara is leading in Kanchanpur-2 with 1,380 votes, while Gyanendra Singh Mahata is ahead in Kanchanpur-3 by 129 votes.
