Balen takes early lead over KP Oli in Jhapa-5



JHAPA: Preliminary counting in Jhapa Constituency-5 shows senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balendra (Balen) Shah, taking the lead.

According to early results, Shah has secured 814 votes out of the 1,400 counted so far. CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has received 384 votes.

Jhapa, which comprises five constituencies, has emerged as a key battleground in this election.
