RSP’s Birajbhakta Shrestha takes early lead in Kathmandu-8



KATHMANDU: Birajbhakta Shrestha, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has taken an early lead in Kathmandu Constituency No. 8.

According to the vote count announced at 2:00 am on Friday, Shrestha has secured 1,715 votes. Rajesh Shakya of the CPN-UML has received 115 votes so far.

Similarly, Sapnaraj Bhandari of the Nepali Congress has garnered 207 votes, while Suman Sayami of the Nepali Communist Party has received 154 votes.

According to the Election Officer’s Office, a total of 2,478 votes have been counted so far, of which 57 votes were declared invalid.
