KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Friday).
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 144.28, while the selling rate stands at Rs 144.88. Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is Rs 170.11 and the selling rate Rs 170.82. The UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 196.31 and a selling rate of Rs 197.12, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 185.55 for buying and Rs 186.32 for selling.
The Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 101.73 for buying and Rs 102.15 for selling. The Canadian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 105.43 and the selling rate Rs 105.87. Likewise, the Singapore dollar is being traded at Rs 113.28 for buying and Rs 113.75 for selling.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been set at Rs 9.18 and the selling rate at Rs 9.22. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 20.79 for buying and Rs 20.87 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being traded at Rs 38.47 (buying) and Rs 38.63 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.58 for buying and Rs 39.75 for selling.
According to the bank, the Thai baht is fixed at Rs 4.55 for buying and Rs 4.57 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 39.28 (buying) and Rs 39.44 (selling), while the Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 36.55 for buying and Rs 36.71 for selling.
The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 9.84 and the selling rate Rs 9.88. Similarly, the Swedish kronor is valued at Rs 16.03 for buying and Rs 16.09 for selling, while the Danish kronor stands at Rs 22.78 and Rs 22.88, respectively.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.47 and the selling rate at Rs 18.55. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 472.12 for buying and Rs 474.08 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 382.71 and Rs 384.30, respectively. The Omani rial has been set at Rs 374.78 for buying and Rs 376.34 for selling.
Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates can be accessed on Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
