Earlier, the commission had collected details and other relevant data related to the Gen-Z movement. Following statements from lower-level security officials, the panel also recorded testimonies from Kathmandu’s then police chief, senior officials of the Valley Police Office, and top officials at Police Headquarters.

In addition, statements have been taken from the Armed Police Force, the National Investigation Department, the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, the then Home Secretary, and the Chief Secretary. Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel also appeared before the commission along with senior army officials to record his statement.

The commission had begun its inquiry by taking statements from former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane and other key figures involved in the incident.
